Q. What is the oldest age of children we can buy for?
A. We accept toys up to age 16.

Q. Is there a particular age that has a shortage of toys?
A. The shortage of toys is for the age range from 12 through 16.

Q. How do I know what to purchase for this age range of 12 – 16?
A. We suggest you look at the flyers in the newspaper, catalogs and what is on TV to give you an idea of what toys are available.  Try wandering up and down the toy isles.  There is no shortage of items to explore.

Q. What are the most popular toys?
A. You can never go wrong with the stand-by toys.  Dolls for girls – sports items for boys.

Q. Can I donate second hand toys?
A. Originally, when Toys for Tots first started, second hand toys were accepted. That policy has changed and we now only accept new, completely sealed toys.

Q. Do you want the toy wrapped in Christmas paper?
A. Do not wrap the toys in paper.  We need to be able to see what the item is so we can place it in the appropriate category for gifting purposes.

Q. Is there a price limited/minimum on the toys?
A. There is no limit and no minimum for the toys.

Q. I have toys left in my business inventory.  What can I do with them?
A. We accept toys all year long.  Those toys will be stored and used for the following Christmas.  They become part of the ongoing inventory.

Q. Are there any toys which are not acceptable as gifts?
A. Use your good judgment as a parent or guardian.  Whatever would be acceptable for your child/ward would be acceptable for us.

Q. I would like to volunteer.  How do I do this?
A. Contact your local Coordinator and let them know how many hours you are able to donate and if you have any area of expertise.

Q. I would like make a business donation for tax purposes.  Would my gift be tax deductible?
A. Yes, Toys for Tots is a 501(c)(3) corporation.  Your gift is tax deductible.
